Mable Lee, "QUEEN OF THE SOUNDIES"
on the March 1947 cover of Ebony. Mable is an Amercan jazz tap dancer, singer, and entertainer. She has been performing since the age of four, appearing on Broadway, at the Apollo Theater, and in numerous other shows. Ms. Lee is in her 90's today and still performing! Mabel performed with BiLlee T at the Live DVD taping of "Roger That" at the Cotton Club (September 26, 2013).

My first original drum pattern was recorded on Rapda Records; I Was Just A Teenager with Lee Williams and The Cymbals at Town Sound in Englewood, New Jersey. When the Arranger gave out the charts to the musicians, my introduction on the hi hat in the beginning of the song was not on the charts and immediately the singers said, something is missing. I went to the drum booth (this was my first time in a professional studio) and showed Marvin Gaye's drummer how to play it; I felt like a billion dollars. I felt like a billion dollars after taxes.
My first vocal arrangement is on the introduction - A Girl From A Country Town (Hey hey hey, Hey hey hey on the Intro). It was a true blessing for me to start my career with high-end professionals. BiLlee T (Billy Boy)
